as angry as i am at him, [08 Nov 2009|05:29pm]

zyzzyx
i miss him so much. his hugs and kisses. and his cuddles. the way he'd massage me without me having to ask. i miss that he'd let me wrap my arms up in his jacket when i didn't have one and it was 40 degrees outside. i miss laying in bed next to him playing with his hair while he slept. i miss that when we couldn't be with each other he'd call me late at night and we'd talk for hours about absolutely nothing and we were still entertained. he told me i was the most beautiful girl he had ever been with, and i believed him, because he made me feel that amazing. i just wish things didn't end so bitter. ;( he stole my heart and it's entirely his to keep. deep down inside, there's part of me that still has hope. hope for us, hope for a reconnection, to learn and grow up, to forgive and forget. so maybe the timing and situation is horrible. but i have this feeling we were meant to be.

The problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

i need some time with my uncle hammon. being around him always cheers me up. even though he gives me talks every time i see him. it's because he loves me and wants to see me do good. but i like that i'm able to get everything off my chest. he understands me. i'm excited for thanksgiving weekend. i really need this, this whole josh deal has been really getting to me. i can't sleep, i can't function. he's got a hold on me. and i don't want to let go. i just wish he'd hear me out.

consultant companies [05 Nov 2009|02:10pm]

[wannatravel]
Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with consultants for applying to grad school in the UK. Two of the university's I would like to go to recommend the companies I am using or say to contact them for any information regarding the school. Both are free and I do everything online so no sending anything through postage (at least not yet). My sister went through one for Australia and it went fine. I was just wondering if anyone had an experience or what you think if the school has them listed on their website. The schools I am looking into are Falmouth, Bristol, University of Chester and Sunderland for TV production. The schools that use the agents directly are Bristol and Sunderland and the companies also have the other two schools on their site.

Red Veg [04 Nov 2009|02:18pm]

It looks like Red Veg in Soho has closed down - it's been compulsorily purchased as Crossrail is demolishing the building to build their ticket hall under Dean Street.

I will miss it! Does anyone know if there are any plans to open on new premises?

Birmingham [02 Nov 2009|03:37pm]

We are going to a wedding in Birmingham on Saturday and are spending friday night at the Travelodge on Broadway plaza. Can anyone recommend anywhere relatively close by where I (and the family!) will be able to get a nice vegan meal (ie not just baked potato and salad!)

Alternatively which big chains do a vegan friendly option - or will do if asked nicely?

Thanks

Photobucket

I just pre-ordered it. Is anyone else ridiculously excited?

I read the contents and almost had a fit - so many lovely things! My first port of call will definitely be the Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Brownies.

Can't wait!

Anyone go to the West Mids Vegan Festival on Sat?

I wrote a small report and put some of my photos up on http://www.SaveAScream.com (go to the Features section).

Please try to avoid criticising me if I didn't mention or picture a certain organisation (like one person did elsewhere)... I wrote and took pix voluntarily for the site that I decided to make voluntarily. It is an UNBIASED piece - based on what I caught on the day. I haven't mentioned every single stall, entertainer, speaker or group who was there - it's not meant as a listing, but just my personal report back on the day (written at 2am Saturday night might I add! lol). I was only there for a couple of hours due to being crazy busy so missed a lot of the talks etc (hence no pix of those - I did get a couple of the end talks but there weren't many people watching then so figured putting pix up with a sparse audience and empty seats wouldn't look so good).

Also, while I'm here, the new issue of my magazine, Black Velvet, has a 2 page interview with vegan band Propagandhi all about veganism/animal rights - and music! And vegan Brody Dalle (now in Spinnerette) and strict vegetarian Phil Collen also talk a tiny bit about animal rights issues/anti-meat in their interviews. If you are interested in rock music as well as being vegan, why not get a copy? More info on my livejournal.
